Mother's Breath Collective

As a new mother, there are so many things that shift in your life that you may wonder where the ground underneath you has gone. How is it possible for one person to hold all of this change?

Within community. The witnessing and holding of other mothers becomes your ground. Daily.

I invite you to join us 3 days per week for a short (20 minutes), accessible practice of breathing, holding and witnessing each other.

For the months of November AND December this will be a free offering. Join us any time (but you do need to register in order to receive the links)

Tuesdays: 10-10:20am EST
Wednesdays: 10-10:20am (on Instagram live) EST
Thursdays: 12-12:20pm EST

The idea for this offering came from the constant refrain from former prenatal yoga students of how much they miss class after baby arrives. But life changes so much with a newborn that attending class consistently is not a reality for most new moms.

So I had to get creative (and listen to Spirit).

The offering needs to be accessible. This means that you don't have to leave your home with baby and the 10lbs of stuff to join us. It also means that there are multiple opportunities to attend because you never know from day to day what life brings you. And the practices are short because you have so much to take care of already.

The offering also needs to be soul nourishing - that piece of postpartum care that includes the presence of wise women, witnessing and acknowledging the deep shifts that are integrating.

Finally, this practice will offer opportunities for repair and resetting within the nervous system. Sometimes we will do an energizing breath. Sometimes we will do a calming breath. We will move in some way. Each class will be tailored to the present moment needs of those who attend.

This experience is for all women - and non-binary or people who are socialized as women

I made the practice accessible for new moms, which means that it is actually accessible for anyone. If you are a new mother, a mother of older children, a grandmother or even if you don’t have children but want to be part of supporting the lives of mothers, this practice is for you.
